Project Planner/Scheduler
Position Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field of study, or equivalent education/experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the planning field, preferably in the oil production industry.
- Solid PC experience with Microsoft Office applications.
- Experienced in the use of major ERP programs such as Primavera and Microsoft Project.
Position Responsibilities
- Integrate schedules from the Engineering Department, Engineering Design firms, contractors and clients to create a master program schedule.
- Identify all critical paths within a project by using float path analysis.
- Create custom formatted graphics, including Gantt charts, Activity Network Diagrams, Times-Scaled Logic Diagrams and Histograms.
- Plan and schedule projects with resource loaded networks to project the required manpower loading using individual resource histograms.
- Track and maintain a materials procurement schedule to identify deliveries, shipping and receiving statuses including FAT’s.
- Produce reports to control budgets and estimates at completion to ensure a successful project delivery.
- Compare baseline budgets to the actual costs and work performed to project accurate costs.
- Utilize the existing WBS structure to track and monitor costs and cost variances.
- As required, assist with the estimation of costs and duration and project impact for change orders, variances or additions to the scope of work.
- Maintain an Archive to store actual cost, units, earned value and planned value to compare current costs with projecting future trends.
- Document risks and calculate risk exposure values and impacts on the project’s schedule, costs and durations.
- Coordinate labor, material, equipment and subcontractors to ensure on-schedule, on-budget completion.
- Perform earned value analysis by using past performance.
