Network Administrator
Position Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or other related IT field
- 3-5 years experience as a Microsoft Network (Server) Administrator
- Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE), latest version
- Experience with Active Director, user security, and network systems using TCP/IP and supporting protocols
- Understanding of Citrix client and server connectivity
- Experience in an operations / production support role
- Experience using Microsoft Windows, Office Suite, Visio and Project.
Position Responsibilities
- Project
- Clearly communicate technology issues, plans, budget and solutions from both a business and technical perspective (Business Case).
- Clearly communicate milestones, task level project timelines, project status, and project completion to business owners and IT management.
- Execution of projects as lead or resource, including new server builds and server upgrades, deployment of new server technology, and support of business projects (SAP, Hyperion, etc.).
- Operations and Server Administration
- Design, document and analyze network security (Active Directory) as it relates to:
- User network access (new users, change in user access and user terminations).
- Server folder and share security.
- Security groups and distribute lists.
- Capacity analysis, forecasting and planning for server hardware and supporting software end of life, disk space, processor and memory utilization, etc.
- Design, document and execute periodic server and supporting software maintenance routines.
- Design, document and configure systems for monitoring server and supporting software.
- Assist with periodic audits for Sarbanes Oxley and security by providing documentation, data and explanation of policies and processes for analysis by security and audit team.
- Assist with disaster recovery planning, setup and testing analysis.
- Design, document and analyze network security (Active Directory) as it relates to:
- Break-Fix
- Liaise with Helpdesk team to provide production support and issue resolution.
- Analyze and resolve server and supporting software (Exchange, SQL, IIS, etc.) related issues.
- Provide after hours and weekend on-call support.
