Rig Test Engineer
Position Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering / IT or related area.
- Has knowledge of software lifecycle test concepts, practices, procedures and tools.
- Ability to travel both domestically and internationally.
- Ability to work effectively across and within diverse teams.
- Excellent facilitation, verbal and written (formal and technical) communication skills.
- Ability to effectively articulate and present complex concepts and ideas to senior IT, business, and engineering managers.
- Strong execution skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
- Ability to deliver quality results within standards and meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills with an attention to detail.
Position Responsibilities
- Develop functional specifications for specific rig functions
- Develop unit test scripts that assure software provides required functions
- Develop integration test scripts that assure software provides required functions
- Develop system/scenario test scripts that assure software provides required functions
- Develop technical specifications for specific rig functions
- Develop tests which assure that the software delivers functionality within specified technical parameters
- Document anticipated results for each test within the test script
- Populate test application with tests scripts
- Populate test application with regression test scripts
- Provide guidance regarding the criticality of each test relative to the totality of tests within the test population (highly critical, moderately critical, less critical)
- Participate in regression testing exercise as requested by system lead
