WebMethods Developer
Position Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or other related IT field.
- A minimum of 3 years experience designing, configuring, developing and delivering integration solutions using SAP Business Connector with an emphasis on external configuration.
- A minimum of 1 WebMethods / SAP Business Connector implementation or upgrade experience in an SAP environment; Experience in a WebMethods / SAP Business Connector production support role.Business Connector production support.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Enterprise Application Integration principles.
- Demonstrated knowledge of External Payment Networks & Protocols (EDI).
- Experience with SAP R/3 v4.0 or higher.
- Demonstrated knowledge of systems design & development and project management.
- Ability to travel both domestically and internationally.
- Experience using MS Office Suite including Access, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Visio, Project and Outlook.
- Ability to work overtime as required.
- Prefer experience with SAP’s Finance, Supply Chain, and Maintenance functionality.
Position Responsibilities
- Serve as an expert with regards to the functional and technical capabilities of SAP’s Business Connector and WebMethods.
- Apply Enterprise Application Integration principles to the infrastructure.
- Assist with developing a conceptual solution as related to SAP Business Connector.
- Assist with analyzing the impact of the proposed solution.
- Assist with scoping and estimating the solution including project / resource estimates and key / required skills.
- Assist with developing the business case for the solution.
- Assist with translating business requirements into functional specifications as related to integration.
- Translate functional specifications into technical requirements, detailed configuration design specifications and technical specifications as related to integration.
- Develop and maintain application and data flows.
- Configure SAP Business Connector based on configuration and technical specifications.
- Develop and enhance integration code based on technical specifications.
- Create prototypes as necessary.
- Participate in code reviews.
- Perform performance tuning.
- Create and execute unit test scenarios for SAP Business Connector configuration and development and perform data loads.
- Use Mercury testing tools including Mercury Quality Center and Mercury Quick Test Professional.
- Forecast (as appropriate) and analyze system / integration defects and production requests / issues.
- Support the installation of SAP Service Packs.
