Assistant Crane Superintendent
Position Qualifications
- BS Degree in Technical Discipline or comparable experience.
- 5+ years experience in mechanical maintenance and with repair and operation of industry specific cranes and crane maintenance.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience and responsibility in a maintenance field.
- Demonstrated leadership and management abilities.
- Proficient with all appropriate computer software.
- Must be willing to travel up to 60% of the time.
Position Responsibilities
- Confer with department personnel to establish maintenance and repair standards.
- Obtain data regarding equipment, quality, specifications, and repair standards of existing and ordered equipment.
- Provide input to the maintenance management system for cranes and lifting gear/devices.
- Develop maintenance routines and establish maintenance priorities for cranes and lifting equipment.
- Review and analyze crane maintenance and operational reports.
- Develop and implement crane and lifting gear/device maintenance and repair methods and procedures.
- Revise maintenance and repair routines as a result of equipment failure or operating problem analyses as indicated by:
- Rig Visits
- Audits
- Post Repair Reviews
- Technical Bulletins
- Consult with engineering personnel relative to modification of cranes and lifting equipment in order to ensure proper operation, maintenance and repair standards are maintained.
- Compile, store and maintain for retrieval, crane maintenance and repair and lifting gear data and information.
