Position Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- One year of experience as a Welder / Fitter
- Pass Noble welding certification test
Essential Functions
- Carry out welding, cutting, burning and associated activities as directed.
- Ensure that incomplete repairs and projects are finished timely.
- Maintain good two-way communication with crew members.
- Participate in the development of newly appointed team members.
- Participate in training as required both on and offshore.
- Regulatory compliance related to function.
- Assist team in maintenance of equipment as required.
- Ensure safe and efficient operations on equipment.
- Ensure compliance HSE Management System for safe, efficient operations.
- Complete orientation process and be familiar with all safety policies/procedures.
- Safely and efficiently perform all duties.
- Ensure welder’s table and area are clean and all equipment is properly stowed.
- Attend pre-tour, post tour and special operations and weekly safety meetings.
- Ensure all operations are safe, and correct or notify of unsafe acts or conditions.
- Check, service and maintain welding equipment in a safe, working condition.
- Report all items that are in need of repair or to be built.
- Coordinate daily work schedule and establish priorities.
- Coordinate the ordering of welding equipment and supplies.
- Report complete details of all work performed for third parties.
- Maintain clean/safe work area and ensure all oxygen and acetylene bottles are secured on deck at all times.
- Instruct helpers in the proper use of tools and safety equipment and procedures.
- Coordinate all work with rig supervisors
