Frequently Asked Questions

Requirements vary by role, but most offshore positions require relevant technical certifications, prior offshore or industry experience, and a strong commitment to safety. Candidates should be physically fit for offshore environments, able to pass required medical evaluations, and comfortable working in rotational schedules. Certifications such as BOSIET/FOET, well control, or trade-specific credentials may be required depending on the position. All requirements will be listed in the job descriptions.

Our interview process is designed to be fair, thorough, efficient, and transparent. It typically begins with an initial screening with our Talent Acquisition team, followed by one or more interviews with hiring managers and key team members. Depending on the role, candidates may also complete technical assessments or competency-based evaluations. Throughout the process, we focus on both technical expertise and alignment with our values. We aim to keep candidates informed at every stage and provide timely feedback and next steps.

Work schedules for offshore employees typically follow a rotational structure, which varies by role and location. Common rotations include 21/21 or 28/28 schedules, meaning employees work offshore for a set number of days followed by an equal period of time off. These rotations are designed to support both operational efficiency and employee well-being. Onshore roles generally follow standard business hours aligned with local practices. Specific schedules will be discussed during the hiring process.

Preparation is key to a successful interview experience. We recommend taking time to learn about Noble, our operations, and our core values. Be ready to discuss your experience in detail, including specific examples that highlight your technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and commitment to safety.

For virtual interviews, ensure you have a reliable internet connection, a quiet environment, and test your technology in advance. For in-person interviews, plan your route ahead of time and aim to arrive early. In all settings, come prepared with thoughtful questions and be ready to engage in open, collaborative conversation. We value authenticity, curiosity, and a willingness to learn.

Offshore work is fast-paced, team-oriented, and highly focused on safety. Employees live and work on the rig during their rotation, with structured schedules and clear routines. It’s a unique environment that fosters strong teamwork and collaboration.

Employees are provided with accommodations, meals, and access to recreational facilities while offshore. We aim to create a comfortable and supportive living environment during each rotation.

We are committed to continuous learning and development. Employees have access to role-specific training, leadership development programs, and ongoing safety and technical education to support career growth.

Benefits vary by location but are designed to be competitive within the market and support employee well-being. These may include healthcare coverage, retirement plans, and time-off programs.

Noble is committed to developing talent from within. Employees have opportunities to grow their skills, take on new challenges, and progress their careers across our global operations.
